Taking Safety to New Heights

At this job site, working up in the air is just a part of the day-to-day. From routine maintenance to handling pallets at mezzanines. Both buildings, the service and the retail needed fall protection. Our goal was maximizing safety without slowing the work down.
Two Spaces, One Project
This installation covered two completely different environments. The service building required long stretches of overhead coverage so the employees can do maintenance on the top of the RVs. On the other hand, the retail space needed protection that fits seamlessly in an active operational setting. In both of these cases, we at Skyline knew that a monorail fall arrest system was perfect for the buildings.
Service Building:
For the service building, we installed 20 overhead ceiling-mounted guardrail fall arrest systems, each featuring a 32-foot runway. These overhead guardrails are Rigid Lifelines 500 Series single-user plain track. Each runway/overhead monorail had a 20‑foot web self‑retracting lifeline and a complete fall protection safety harness. The result? A clean overhead solution that lets workers focus on the task at hand, without worrying about the height you are at in the air.

Also, we added a two-pallet gate opening for the mezzanine. We also installed a single-point ceiling mounted anchor with 11' web lanyard retractable including a fall protection harness. It’s a simple setup with a big impact, providing peace of mind during loading and unloading operations.
Retail Building:
Retail environments are always busy and usually compromise safety. However, we need a safety system that can blend in without getting in the way. For this area, we added 12 overhead monorails fall arrest systems as well. Each had a 30ft runway using the Rigid Lifelines 500 Series single-user plain track with a 20‑foot web self‑retracting lifeline and a complete fall protection safety harness. These systems provide consistent protection while keeping the workspace open and efficient.
Just like the service building, we also installed a two single-point ceiling mounted anchors with 11' web lanyard retractable including a fall protection harness. These anchors help ensure employees can complete pallet handling tasks with confidence and security.
Why Overhead Monorails?
Overhead fall protection systems like these are popular for a reason:
No tying off and untying as you move
Always available, no setup required
Clean, professional look overhead
Engineered to work with the building structure
They’re a smart, long‑term solution for facilities that prioritize safety and efficiency.
The Result:
With these systems in place, workers in both the Service and Retail areas now have a quality and detailed fall protection system that supports their daily tasks. The project delivers enhanced safety, OSHA‑compliant solutions, and a setup built to last, all while keeping workflows smooth and uninterrupted.
